The University Women’s Foundation of East Jefferson County (UWF) was established in 1994 by Port Townsend AAUW as its philanthropic arm, and is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit foundation. UWF raises funds for the Elmira K. Beyer endowed scholarship, the UWF Scholarship Endowment Fund, annual high school scholarships, gifts to the national-level AAUW Educational Foundation and AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, gifts to the national-level AAUW Educational Foundation, and community projects that promote education and equity for women and girls in Jefferson County.

Through the successful kitchen tour, card sales, annual appeals, raffles, auctions, tribute cards, and generous donations, UWF has been able to award many scholarships, recognize outstanding girls in math, science and technology, provide funds for special assistance for elementary schools, organize career days, and host political forums.

Donations are gratefully accepted. Contributions to UWF are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
